A 46-year-old man is in the grips of the Western Regional police for cultivating Indian hemp, ‘wee’ and using some as pillow in his home.
Police prosecutor, Chief Inspector Donkor told a court presided over by his Lordship Selorm Kumah-Dzata that, they discovered this when they visited the residence of Kwabena Adiyia to arrest him for threatening to kill a farmer.
The farmer, Kwasi Mensah had reported him to the Adinkrakrom police for threatening to kill him.
According to the police prosecutor, the farmer was threatened with death when he visited the home of the accused to confront him for destroying his farm.
However, when the police entered his house, they saw that he had planted the banned substance behind his house and a search in his room revealed he was using some of the wee.
His Lordship Kunah-Dzata, therefore, remanded him in prison custody to appear in two weeks.
