Vodafone Ghana supports Kundum Festival with GHS20, 000
Telecommunication service provider, Vodafone Ghana has presented a cheque of GHS20, 000 to the Chief and people of Lower Axim as part to its contribution to this year’s Kundum Festival, which is celebrated annually by the traditional area.
Presenting the cheque, the Head of Sales and Distribution at Vodafone Ghana, Raphael Tawiah explained that the company was aware of the significance of Kundum Festival to the people of the Lower Axim traditional area, hence Vodafone’s decision to be part of it and make this year’s celebrations a memorable one for the people.
He added that Vodafone was passionate about empowering and supporting communities across the country.
Receiving the cheque, Awule Attibrukusu III, Omanhene of the traditional area thanked Vodafone Ghana for the sponsorship, adding that the sponsorship package was very encouraging as compared to support the festival had received in past years.
He was hopeful that the kind gesture by Vodafone Ghana will mark the beginning of a lasting relationship between the company and the people of Axim.
He assured the company that the traditional council will ensure that the telecom firm reaps the full benefit of sponsorship. The Kundum Festival begins in the last week of September.
